Privacy Policy

Who we are. Homestead Den, operated by New Rey Media (Ontario, Canada). "We," "us," and "Homestead Den" refer to that business. We are committed to handling your personal information responsibly and in line with Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) and Quebec's Law 25.

What we collect

• Information you give us. When you book a Found-Money Review or contact us, we collect what you submit. On the booking form that is your name and email. If you email us, we receive what you include.
• Information collected through technology. With your consent, we use analytics tools that collect technical and usage data: pages viewed, how you arrived (search terms, referring sites, campaigns), approximate location, device and browser type. See our Cookie Policy for the full list.

Why we collect it

• To schedule and prepare for your Found-Money Review and respond to your enquiries.
• To understand how people find and use our site so we can improve our content and service.
• We do not sell your personal information. We do not add you to marketing messages without the consent required under CASL.

Consent

We collect technical and analytics data only after you consent through our cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer. Necessary cookies that make the site work do not require consent.

How AI is used

We use automated tools, including AI, to organize information and surface patterns and next steps. We do not make decisions that have a significant effect on you by automated means alone. A person reviews and approves anything that matters.

Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers who process information on our behalf: Google (analytics), YouTube (embedded media, if present), and HubSpot (booking and scheduling). They process your information under their own terms and only as needed to provide their service. We may disclose information if required by law.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose collected. Booking and enquiry records are kept up to 24 months; analytics data is retained on the analytics tool's default schedule.

How we protect it

We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect your information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access.

A note for prospective clients (database reviews)

If we conduct a Found-Money Review of your real estate database, we access your data only with your authorization, read-only or from an export you provide. We use it solely for your review, we do not contact your clients, and you can revoke access at any time. Handling of your clients' personal information is governed by a separate agreement and your brokerage's obligations, not this website policy.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA and Law 25 you can ask to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold, withdraw consent, and opt out of commercial messages. Email inquiries@newreymedia.com. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or, in Quebec, the Commission d'acces a l'information.

Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date above shows the current version, and we will re-request consent when changes are material.
